REPORT: Facebook Donates $1 Million To Victims Of Mexico Earthquake

According to recent report, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has said the company (FB) will give $1 million to the Red Cross in Mexico to help rebuild areas that were decimated by a powerful earthquake this week.
In addition to its gift to Cruz Roja Mexicana, a branch of the International Red Cross, the tech giant says they will also be partnering with the United Nations Children's Fund, or UNICEF, to waive fees on donations made on UNICEF's Facebook page.
His statement read: 
'My thoughts are with everyone affected by the earthquake in Mexico. 
Facebook is contributing $1 million to Cruz Roja Mexicana Sede Nacional to support the relief efforts on the ground. We're also partnering with UNICEF to waive fees on all donations to their organization made through our tools that will go to recovery efforts in Mexico.
Thanks to everyone in our community who's doing their part to help people recover. #FuerzaMéxico'
On Tuesday,  7.1 magnitude earthquake struck Central Mexico on Tuesday with more than 200 people have been reported dead so far.

"Students now drug invigilators with dangerous chemicals"... WAEC registrar claims

The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, is lamenting the rate of examination malpractice among students, adding that students now drug invigilators using dangerous chemicals. According to the council’s Registrar, Iyi Uwadiae, who spoke during a press briefing at WAEC International Centre, Lagos, proposed international summit on examination malpractices for October 19 and 20. He said:  “In some cases, and particularly during private examinations, candidates now go to centres fully armed with guns and other weapons. For the public examinations, there are centres, and especially private schools, where invigilators are drugged to pave way for them to engage in exam malpractices.” He continued to say, ' waging war against examination malpractices has become very expensive and more difficult, particularly with the advent of social media. A section of a building at the Gawon Nama residence of Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko in Sokoto collapsed on Sunday, October 29. The affected unoccupied building was said to be undergoing renovation as at the time of the incident. According to reports, no loss of life was recorded, while nobody was injured in the incident. Senator Wamakko who inspected the affected section of the building, expressed gratitude to the Almighty Allah, describing the incident as an act of God ” The good people of the state should however continue to fervently pray to prevent the recurrence of such incidents,”  Senator Wamakko was quoted as saying.
