A 53-year-old dad Wendell Melton shot and killed his 14-year-old son Giovanni over his  sexual orientation. More details have emerged on the  Baptist church shooter in Sutherland Springs, Texas, who killed 26 people including a 5 year old child and the pastor's 14 year old daughter, Annabelle Pomeroy during the 11am service on Sunday. He also injured as many as 15 other people in the church. There were onluy about 50 people in the church at the time of his shooting, which has been declared as the deadliest shooting in Texas. The shooter has been identified as 26 year old Devin Kelley, who served in the US airforce from 2010, before he was dishonorably discharged in 2014 for beating up his wife and child. Kelley, 26, was from the San Antonio suburb of New Braunfels, Texas. Kelly served one year in military prison for the assault on his wife and kid in 2012 and was immediately discharged from the US Airforce after he served his time. The motive for his attack isn't yet known. The attack was stopped when a man (pictured above) at the church pulled out his own gun

At least 20 people were shot inside a church in Texas after a gunman opened fire during the Sunday morning service. According to reports, the shooting happened at the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, where around 50 people usually attend service and Sheriff Joe Tackitt confirms that there are ‘multiple casualties and fatalities’. Witnesses said a man ‘in full gear’ walked inside the church and opened fire just before 11.30am. Police could not give an exact number of victims shot in the attack, but witnesses said as many as 20 shots were fired. The suspect, who has not been identified, is dead and there is no longer an active shooter threat, according to police.

A section of a building at the Gawon Nama residence of Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko in Sokoto collapsed on Sunday, October 29. The affected unoccupied building was said to be undergoing renovation as at the time of the incident. According to reports, no loss of life was recorded, while nobody was injured in the incident. A gang of armed robbers on Thursday attacked a branch of the Skye Bank Plc in Ifon, the headquarters of the Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, killing two police officers attached to the bank and went away with an undisclosed huge amount of money. The incident put a halt to social and commercial activities in the town for several minutes as residents living close to the bank ran for safety. The robbery operation was said to have lasted for about 40 minutes. According to an eyewitness, the hoodlums numbering fifteen stormed the premises of the bank at about 3pm and blew up the bullet-proof door of the bank with substance suspected to be dynamite before gaining entrance.  Some of the robbers were said to have engaged the policemen in a gun duel outside the bank while others robbed the bank’s vault.
